what is the difference between CURRENT TIME and CURRENT TIMESTAMP ?

Time is just that: hours, minutes, seconds and fractions of seconds. A timestamp includes date information.

DATE, TIME, and TIMESTAMP are DB2 column types, and they are documented in the manual.

the easiest way is to try thinks out:

select current timestamp, current time, current date from sysibm.sysdummy1
