How to build a datamodel

Hi all,in

I have the database but there is no datamodel, so using the database I have to build one. Can any one help me out in how to do this please? I have the DDL but not knowing from where to start.

Yes we have the DDL, now as we are migrating to Oracle from DB2 they need the datamodel, not knowing how to do the reverse engineering can anyone help me out please

take the ddl, run it into an empty database to create the tables, then use a data modelling tool to do the reverse engineer
