Hi,
you probably have a db2 backup. If so, I suggest you to download DB2 Express-C edition - free of charge of any use. Restore database and that is all... Only DB2 v9.5 Express-C can be downloaded. Why do you need v8, v7?

Hope this helps,

Hi
thanks for your reply. I was having Db2 V7.1 in my laptop. I was learning V8.1for unix and windows. Is this V 9.5 is compatible for unix and windows? Just let me know.

What do you mean with "compatible"? DB2 V9.5 for Linux, Unix, and Windows runs on those platforms. So you can simply install and use it.

p.s: There are 3 other DB2 products (different from DB2 LUW): DB2 for iSeries (AS/400), DB2 Everyplace, and DB2 for z/OS. Those won't run on a Linux system (maybe DB2 Everyplace does - I don't know).
