db2rfpen doubt

In a HADR enabled environment,I rollforwarded the standby db to end of logs and complete. After sometime i wanted to bring the standby to rollforward pending state again.I issued
db2rfpen on dbname .. It executed and said that it is a success. But it did not actually put the standby in rollforward pending state.Any thoughts??

If it doesnt do that, what is the usage of rfpen??

This may sound strange, but run it 2 times in a row.

My experience was that after running it twice and getting into rollforward pending, I could not get it started as the standby because the log chain is now different than the primary.
