Will Q Replication Work With Non Relational Databases?

I'm trying to use Essbase as a target in Q replication and I'm wondering if I will have any issues because it is multidimensional as opposed to relational. Anyone know?

the apply will execute the request - tables must be defined as nicknames, as they are not db2 - check if any wrapper available for this target

Hi,
I have been working with Essbase for 8 years, but I have no clue what would you like to do.

The Essbase cube build process is working like this:
1. load data from RDMS into dimensions to build dimensions
2. load numbered data from RDMS into cube
3. calculate data to upper level

If there is a lot of data, cube rebuild can last several hours. So I don't understand the main idea of replication.

Maybe the way you should do:
1. replicate data from one db2 to another db2 table if this is the case and
2. write Esscmd script to build cube from db2 table.

But when cube is building cube is not accessed.

It would really help if more details would be written.

Hope this helps,
Grofaty

Records are going to be added regularly throughout the day to various tables in the DB2 warehouse. As soon as a record is updated (insert/update/delete) then I want to get that record from DB2 and into Essbase, then wait in DB2 for another update.
