DPF design

UDB V8 FP11

OS: AIX

I have a question with a DPF design . I have got an AIX box with 8 CPUs
and 32GB mem.

My team wants to create a 8 way parition system and i am thinking to create a 4 way partition system.

I think we need atleast 2 CPUs for each partition. Is n't it.

Can you suggest me a cpus to Dps ratio.

thanks

If the CPUS are powerful you can go ahead with 8way. IBM has a very old standard to setup one partition per two cpus.
