DB2 issue > db2fm

We are running DB2 v8.1 in Linux.

The DB is running the for last 1 year or so without any issue. Today there was a server restart and after that wehn I started the DB it started well but when I ps -ef|grep db2 i am getting the following output -

db2inst1 24902 22261 0 12:32 pts/1 00:00:00 grep db2

The db2fm process is getting spawned off in regular interval with one with db2inst1 user and another one is with root user.
I checked the fault monitor with the following command -

# db2fm -s -S
Gcf module 'fault monitor' state is AVAILABLE
Gcf module '/home/db2inst1/sqllib/lib/libdb2gcf.so' state is AVAILABLE

I am not sure whats going wrong. Please, suggest.

Thanks
Koushik

db2fm is the command to see/start/stop the fault monitor coordinating daemon
db2fmc process (see doc)
db2fm are processes to execute stored procedures...
