db2 9.5 personal edition expired

Hi all,

I have installed DB2 9.5 personal edition 3 months ago. Now it does not start because the licence seems to have expired.

Running db2licm -l gives the following:

Product name: "DB2 Personal Edition"
Expiry date: "Expired"
Product identifier: "db2pe"
Version information: "9.5"

Product name: "DB2 Connect Server"
Expiry date: "Expired"
Product identifier: "db2consv"
Version information: "9.5"
Concurrent connect user policy: "Disabled"
Enforcement policy: "Soft Stop"

I thought that when using the personal edition the licence would never expire, so how it this possible ?

Is it possible to renew the licence ? Or would it be a better idea to re-install it ? If so, is there a mean to backup/restore my current db ?

Thx in advance,
Johan.

Hi,
if you need free DB2 you should download DB2 Express-C. Differences between editions you can read at article Compare the distributed DB2 9.5 data servers

Why do you need DB2 Connect Server? Are you connecting to mainfraime?

Please write more info about you operating system, db2 edition and versions of products.
