2- on db2 v9.5 aix 5.3 server MUST be 64 bit and can connet to 32 or 64 bit client. is it true
please correct me .

A 32 or 64 bit client can connect to a 64 bit server. But it depends on the OS as to whether a 32 bit client is available.

Starting with 9.1, DB2 for AIX only has 64 bit clients and servers. But Windows and Linux DB2 comes in both 32 or 64 bit clients and servers.
