I'm a newbie when it comes with db2, i would like to know if i will be doing a tablespace backup level do i need to backup also the tablespace that was created during the creation of a new database?

That depends on the tablespace you want to backup. Just because a tablespace was created during CREATE DATABASE doesn't make it any different from other tablespaces with respect to backups. The initially created tablespaces are not magically backed up by themself.

you can specify which tbspace you want to backup and only that tbspace will be backed up....
