Raw devices vs File system

Has anyone switched to File system tablespaces from raw devices? Was there any noticable performance degradation? Is it worth the switch from a DBA standpoint (manageability)? Any other advice ?

Thanks

The advantages of raw devices have been reduced in recent versions of DB2 and raw devices are pretty much passe now. About the only situation where you might be able to see a difference is with large tables in a data warehouse environment where there are a lot of full table scans. Even then, I would not personally use them (I like to punish table scans).
