Post Unable to start DB2 service

hi all,

i unable to start my DB2 service. while iam starting, it shows some error:

Windows could not start DB2-Db2-0 on local computer. For more information review the system event log. If this is a non-microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to sevice-specific error code 1365.

Kindly inform the solution if any body knows....

Have you changed the password of the user under whose authority the service is started? If so, you have to change the password in the service configuration, too. (Or you change the service config to use "Local System".)

Go to the Windows Services, select the DB2 services and change their properties. This is a straight-forward task.

What's the exact error you are getting when you try to start the DB2-DB2-0 service manually?

What does the Windows Event Log/Application Log say?

hi,

when i start DB2-DB2-0..it shows the some thing like this:

Windows could not start DB2-Db2-0 on local computer. For more information review the system event log. If this is a non-microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to sevice-specific error code 1365.

In Event Viewer it shows:

( CITCO_ND_BRK ) The broker made an unsuccessful attempt to access its database 'CITCODB' with userid 'db2admin'.

The broker's database could not be accessed using the userid and password supplied.

Ensure that the database is running and that the userid and password are correct.

Have a look at the "db2diag" output to see what is logged there. Also, you may want to look up DB2 message SQL1365 in the manuals.
