Maximum memory limit for DB2 instance in windows

Hi

We use db2 8.2 on windows 2000 platform.

Our production server has 4GB main memory.

Would like to know what is the maximum memory a given DB2 instance can have in windows 2000 system? Some one here tells me DB2 instance can address only up to 1GB in windows - but I have doubts - would like to check with experts.

thanks

Hari

On Windows DB2 is subject to the same limitations as all Windows applications: user memory is limited to 2 GB (or 3 GB, if the system is configured accordingly). Extended memory (between 4 GB and 16 GB) can be used for extended bufferpools.
