DB2 connection to database

Hi,
I cataloged a database on Linux onto my laptop which is running DB2. After cataloging when I tried to connect it gave me SQL30081

SQL30081N A communication error has been detected.
Communication protocol being used: "<protocol>".
Communication API being used: "<interface>". Location
where the error was detected: "<location>".
Communication function detecting the error:
"<function>". Protocol specific error code(s):
"<rc1>", "<rc2>", "<rc3>".

So I changed the dbm cfg to SERVER_ENCRYPT and started the DAS server. I found out DAS server was not started.

Now I get the following error.

"SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason 15. <Processing Failure>. SQLSTATE=08001"

Hi,
first of all what is your database version and fixpack-level (db2licm -l and db2level commands)?

Was DB2 working well before you turned oun server_encrypt? Does DB2 work locally? Is there only problem from you laptop or is wide problem?
Regards,
Grofaty
