Hi all,
when i try to catalog a database on my client machine it throws the following error on clicking finish:
CA3061N Incomplete server configuration.

Explanation:
The server configuration information contained in the server profile is
missing data necessary to complete the requested operation. Refer to the
db2diag.log for details.

User response:
Contact your system administrator to verify that the server
configuration is correct.

the instance set on the client machine is db2 and the database which i need to catalog is in instance 'inst1' on the server. has this error something to do with these instance settings.

what was the syntax for the catalog node you applied
and the syntax for catalog db at this node
is it local or remote ??

Its remote database.
the command m using to catalog node on client machine is:
db2 catalog tcpip node <nodename on server> remote <server name> server <service name>

n i am trying to catalaog database from configuration assisstant where it throws the error.

always execute these command from command line, so you know what you do and the exact return code....
