Where is DB2 ODBC driver in default installation DB2 v9.5 for Linux

Hi,
I have installed DB2 v9.5 on Linux.

I have installed DB2 product by default to /opt/ibm/db2/V9.5
DB2 instance is by default in path: /home/db2inst1

Then I have installed one product that requires DB2 ODBC driver. I have to set up DB2 ODBC driver path. Where is this driver located (path and driver name) in default DB2 Linux install?
Thanks,
Grofaty

I do not think that they are installed with the DB2 core install. Check out this page from the DB2 v9.5 documentation:

Hi,
the link you provided is manual for installing Microsoft SQL Server drivers, which are not provided by default during install of DB2.

But I think there should be ODBC drivers available by default - there are available on Windows - I don't know there names but I can create ODBC connection. On Windows this is very simple but on Linux command "db2 catalog system odbc data source db_name" reports error that this command is not supported on Linux platform.

Any idea what is path to DB2 ODBC drivers after default install of db2 v9.5 on Linux?
Regards,
Grofaty

Like I said, I do not think that they are installed with the core product.

You can always open a PMR with IBM to find out.

Hi,
just to put note if someone else will look into this info.

By default ODBC driver is: /home/db2inst1/sqllib/lib/libdb2.so

Only DB2 Server must be installed with no other additional software.

Grofaty
