db2audit - unsuccessful login attempts

Apart from db2audit is there a method available to capture unsuccessful login attempt details (like IP) ?
Env : DB2 v8.2 and DB2 9.5

I read the following post in this forum
Tracking unsuccessful connection attempts to database.
but I would like to know whether IBM has introduced any new feature to capture unsuccessful login attempts in the latest DB2 v8 fixpacks or on DB2 9 instead of using DB2AUDIT.
