db2 8.1 odbc required for linux 3.0
Hi guyz !!!
I need to connect my application with the db2 8.1 server using odbc driver on linux. Please provide me help on where to download a free version of odbc driver for db2 8.1 on linux 3.0 ???

It should be ODBC 3.0 driver. Not sure about the best link for downloading. But did you check the available drivers in the Application-Server ?

m nt sure hw to check and do hve to check on db2 client or server ??? On searching i cme across for odbc driver for 9.1 on its documentation. So, can we use it for 8.1 ???

you can write db2level on your shell command prompt.
It will tell you the details of the DB2 product installed on your system.

Ya i did that on my client machine, and found the following output, also m new to db2 so please suggest me comprehensive steps :


DB21085I instance "db2inst1" uses "32" bits and DB2 Code release "sql08020" with level identifier "03010106".
information tokes are "DB2 V8.10.64", "5040812", "M100086"and Fix Pak "7".
Product is installed at "Opt/IBM/db2/V8.1"
