partitioned tables and databases can not contain XML columns?

is that true that partitioned databases (and tables) can not contain XML columns?

I do not worry abt part. tables but we plan to migrate from v8.2 to v9.5 and start using DPF and it looks like we can not have XML columns in our tables in this case.

Is there any way around it?

Thanks in advance

Can you create a table with an XML column in a single-partition group? That might be a solution.

Nick, do you mean having a db with DPF but using XML only in non-partitioned tablespaces/tables? I guess we can find out only when we try as DB2 documentation is not very good on this subject. And that surprises me - I found this restriction in the article from DB2 magazine but in DB2 documentation.
