Hi,

I am trying to install DB2_Enterprise_Svr_Ed_Solaris_SPARC.
I am installing it as "root" user.

uname -a of the system is:

SunOS <hostname> 5.10 Generic_137111-07 sun4v sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-T6300

I installed on 2 of our servers but on only one (third server) of the servers I am getting the below error:


1) Command to be run: "cd /opt/IBM/db2/V9.1/;/opt/IBM/db2/V9.1/instance/db2icrt -a server -d -s ese -u db2fenc1 -p db2c_db2inst1 db2inst1".

ERROR:An error occurred while creating the instance "db2inst1". The return code

is "1". Create the instance manually using the command "db2icrt".


2) ERROR:## call function cleanup_reg_list instance crt db2inst1

3) ERROR:An error occurred while configuring the instance "db2inst1".

Configuring DB2 instances:.......Failure

Configuring the DB2 Administration Server:.......Success

Updating global profile registry:.......Success

WARNING:A minor error occurred while installing "DB2 Enterprise Server Edition"

on this computer. Some features may not function correctly.

DBI1281E The database manager configuration file could not be

initialized.
I have also attached the db2setup.log and db2icrt.log.
I searched on forums and could not find any particular steps to solve this issue.
I tried to manually create the instance but same problem.
I tried to re-install after a clean un-installation but I am getting the same error.
