You'll have to excuse me if I don't explain this right.. This is my first time looking at DB2 on Windows V7.

Last night two backup jobs failed because of a space problem. the space problems have been resolved but the jobs are 'stuck' in the running processes view under journal for that database. I see two windows tasks running called db2job.exe and I don't know if they are related... can anyone help?

The version is so old it is hard to answer because it is not necessarily comparable to v8 or v9. I can't remember if there was a utility manager in that version. Try right clicking on the database object in Control Center. See if there is an option to "Manage Utilties".

If not and it is feasible, you could try stopping the instance.
