The database is currently in use. SQLSTATE=57019
We have Windows 2003 Server. I have two instances DB2 and db2ctlsv. Everything was fine until the system crashed and we had to reboot. If I try to select on control center -- we get this message -- The database is currently in use. SQLSTATE=57019

The database in question is "island". Any help is appreciated.

I cannot drop the database and dont know what to do. All I want to do is to restore from backup.

Here is the list database directory

o The maximum number of connections to the database has been
reached.
o The database is being used by another user on another
system.
o Activate/Deactivate database is in progress.

The command cannot be processed.
User Response:
Possible solutions include:
o Resubmit the command later when the database is not in use.
o Change the authorization to match the current user or wait
until the database is not in use.
o Wait until the database is not in exclusive use.
o Wait until other users on another system have disconnected
from the database.
