sql stored procedure

I have been looking around and could not find any sample. So I wonder if this is supported
I want to use lobs in a sql stored procedure, with read/as well with insert
Is this supported ? I could only find samples of java and other mf languages
If willing to share a sample, because I am not really a programmer, thanks

because we have vse and cobol and lobs are not suported, so we want to insert / select / update some data in lobs columns. the sp would be called from vse cobol to bypass the restriction
