STMM doubts

Does STMM try to tune after a db2start??Or does it have a history although the instance is stopped. If it tries to tune after db2start it might impact performance until the tuning is stabilised

I am trying to understand the cost benefit records in the stmm logs. Can any one help me understand the cost benefit records in the stmm logs

It tunes "real time" and has nothing to do with "db2start". It does require an active database. So you have to make sure that your database is constantly active for the best results.

STMM 'remembers' the last tuned values and uses them as the starting point after a instance restart.
