Can we apply Database Partition Feature on two simple Linux V5 boxes?

Hi,

I have two Linux V5 boxes with DB2 UDB V8.1 Enterprise Server Edition installed. Now, can I apply Database partition Feature in it?

Thanks,
Sarena.

Sure, you can. Start by dropping the two existing instances (save data if needed ahead of time). And then create partitioned instance across the two boxes as per IBM doc.

You need an additional license for DPF feature. This does not come standard with ESE license.
