Hi all,

In my production database there are 12 tablespaces,I need to take the 3 tablespaces backup,and i have to restore these backup into staging database.

I dont know anything about tablespace level backup and restore....

Could any one please guide me...both online and offline...backup


presently we are using db28.2...but we are migrating to 9.1


Environment: AIX5.3
presently db28.2 migrating to 9.1

use export and import - not backup

You can't do this using the restore command in v8. Look at the rebuild option of the restore command starting with v9. Here is one example here (see post from June 20th):
