You can't tell why the crash happened from the information you posted. You really need to open a pmr. If this is a brand new instance/db, then check that your OS has all the necessary patches as per IBM/DB2 recommendations and may also consider upgrading to the latest or more current fixpak.

IF WINDOWS:

Check your drive space !!

I would do exactly what the message tells you to do: "Contact IBM Support for further assistance."

Re: DB2START

Hi,

Did you performed any fixpack installation ?, if yes, was the fix pack applied successfully, can you issue ' errpt | more' and paste the command output, is the paging availability enough. The log will be available with online db backups only.

db2pclnr (page cleaner) is the process that received the signal. Some error was encountered when db2pclnr was in process of writing pages from the bufferpool to disk. As a result of this error, db2 called sqle_panic to shutdown itself, this is done to protect database integrity. So, what you need to check is the errors reported in the db2diag.log just prior to the crash (prior to ADM0503C). But the best is to open a pmr.
