monitoring cpu/memory

Hi guys !
I gys I am working on db2 9.5 on aix 5.3.0.0 and would like to know what is the best method to monitor the database while load testing. Actually i want o produce a report stating memory utilized by the application ,cpu utilization and whether all connections are getting closed or not . The script for load testing runs for a couple of hours and the parameters should be shown at an interval of 30 sec. I used db2mtrk -a -v -r 30 to monitor memory and created aevent monitor for connections for connection opening/closing and vmstat 30 for cpu utilization . any better and systematic approach ???
