i want to enter in database field....i want to e a database administrator....i have java knowledge....guys, please tell me from where i should start...i mean which course i should do to step in this line....i am absolutely new in this line....

You should by a book on Database Administration and read it. How you proceed from there is up to you. There are many avenues, some dictated by the database vendor.

I don't know where you are but I would suggest to learn MS SQL server. All DB2 job postings disappeared, but I see lots of SQL server positions posted... At least in Canada and US... My friend at IBM said IBM is outsourcing DB2 DBA work to India now...
