No you cannot not. However, IBM is saying that they expect to have that feature sometime in early 2010 as part of V9.7 Fixpack 1 or 2.

DB2 Reads on Standby feature is released in V97 fp1 product. The manuals are provided on the info pages. Here is a link to it
