HOw to Disable Archive Log in DB2 mainframe(z/OS)
Hi All,

I want to disable Archive Log in DB2 V8 in z/OS. What is the procedure to disable this.
I did some R&D on that but its not clear to me.
Can I do it or System Admin will do this. Plz tell me eloborately.

Sathyaram, does setting database configaration params logarchmeth1 and logarchmeth2 to some value disables Archival logging?
If so, to what value should we set it to?

On LUW, Having no values for these parms and setting userexit to no will disable archival logging ...

DB2 z/OS doesn't have the circular logging that DB2 LUW has. So you cannot really compare disabling archive logging on LUW with z/OS.
