Can we install DB2 V9.5 FP 4 on DB2 V8.1.12

Hi Guys,

I am not sure 'cause I neved did it.

We are going to install DB2 V9.5 FP 4 on production server having DB2 V8 FP 12.

Recently we installed db2 v9.5 fp 0

OS is Win Server 2k3

This ain't clear: do you have v8 FP 12 or v9.5 FP 0 installed? You can install a 9.5 fix pack ONLY over a 9.5 installation.

Do I have to download DB2V9.5 FP 0 and FP 4 both and install twice.

No, you can install FP4 without installing the GA version. This will take you straight to FP4.

This was tested by one of my coleague as you confirmed.
