Question Performance affected after implementing IBM recomendations

Hi

We use db2 8.2.9 on windows 2000.

We were initially on db2 8.2.6. When we encountered a memory fragmentation issue. As per the IBM recommendation
IBM - JR24363: EXCESSIVE MEMORY FRAGMENTATION IN DB2SYSCS ADDRESS SPACE ON WINDOWS CAUSES MEMORY ALLOCATION FAILURES

we applied fixpack 17a (db2 8.2.9) and then set registry variables

DB2MEMMAXFREE=2000000
DB2_MEMALLOCATE_HIGH = YES

Also changed PRIV_MEM_THRESH to 500 (initially it was 1290).

Now we find the performance of the system is slower than before.

Have you experienced this situation and if so how did you resolve this?

Thanks

Harikumar
