From MS Excel 2003, I wish to create OLAP cubes and use it for analytics. There is an datawarehouse hosted on intranet on the IBM DB2 database. The relevant IBM DB2 ODBC driver is installed on my PC with default settings.
When using MS Query to create an OLAP cube from a table present in DB2, I get an error
"format of initialization string does not conform to OLE DB specification"

What could be reason for this error and what are the possible workarounds ?

PS: Since the entire step is done using the GUI, I am unable to extract the connection string, and troubleshoot the string , since it is being build behind the scenes.
