Can someone help me decide which applicaton is holding TRANSACTION LOG, so that I can force it out.

I undrstand that I can use SNAPSHOT_DATABASE and it has TOTAL_LOG_USED and TOTAL_LOG_AVAILABLE. But I donot know how to find appl hanldle which is holding the log.

In our recent problem, I had forced an application; which resolved the issue, but for next time I do that; I need to double check and confirm.

Which other data/info will be useful in situation of held logs.

Look for "Appl id holding the oldest transaction" in the db snapshot
