Red face connection fails from control center

Linux 5
db2: 8.1
control center

IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30081N A communication error has been
detected. Communication protocol being used: "TCP/IP".
Communication API being used: "SOCKETS". Location where the
error was detected: "10.1.16.70". Communication function
detecting the error: "connect". Protocol specific error
code(s): "10061", "*", "*". SQLSTATE=08001

Any ideas on the issue?

What is output of DB2 LIST NODE DIRECTORY?

Question control center 101

Ok I have to a virtual desktop, where I have little access. how do I get the node listing and the db listing from the control center or even a command line from the desk top.
