Hi All DBAs,

I also want to build my career in DB2 DBa area.
But I am confused lot, how to kick start in that field.
I am working in one of the S/W company as mainframe developer.
The relation of DB2 with is just we used it in programs as backend along with IMS.
All DB2 DBA activites are taken from onshore with dedicated DBAs,we can not communicate with them directly.
In short, I am unaware what are day to day activity DBA perform, which is most important for anyone to get start in as DBA.

In market openings are for DB2 DBA with 5-6 yrs of exp, which I am not having and loloking at my job profile and there is no chance that I would earn it in near future.

I have completed my DB2 730 certifications and now preparing for 732(DB2 for z/os as working for mainframe).

Please suggest me to How Can I Step towards DB2 DBA field?

One more hepl required,
Still could not able to find ebook for 732.

If you are having e copy of DB2 9 for z/OS: Database Administration Certification Study Guide

As producion support job, we need to spend lots of time in office along with night shift.
So Ebook is very much helpful than hard copy.
