I there,
I'm VERY new to DB2, and having the following problem.
We installed db2 version 8 on Zos.

We are trying to run the sample JAVA program that is installed with DB2.
It is in ....../usr/lpp/db8210/samples/java Sample01.class

At the point where it tries to connect with URL: 'jdbc:db2os390sqljDB2'

it abends with the following error:

Unhandled exception
Tye=Illegal instruction vmState=0x00000000

Any Ideas Please!!!!
I've been battling with this for more than a week!!!!

are you using type2 driver ? I don't see any port number
have a look at a sample and maybe try first this
