DB2 DBA Interview

Hi,

I am mainframe developer with 3 yrs of EXP as mainframe developer.
I have completed DB2 730 (Elementery Level) certification and preparing for 732.I have no prior experience as DB2 DBA.

Now I have got call for Junior DB2 DBA for Zos post.

Friends please guide me on:

1) What will be questions they can ask me?

2) I am getting 2.5 Lakhs per annum, what will be my expected salary?
I am completely unaware about package DB2 DBA is getting.

3) I dont want to miss this opportunity,so what will be the X Factor to get
selected?

4) With bad luck, suppose If I loose this opportunity due to lack of DBA
experience ,then How should I switch from developer to DBA?

Waiting for your answers.

$2,000/year for a DBA? Is this a joke, or the salaries in India are so low?

Unbelievable, DBA's getting better pay than programmers. in Toronto,Canada, DBA's are getting someware from $55,000/year gross. IBM says DBA's should get around $93,000/year.

If this is the case in India, we are going to loose jobs in Canada. Please donot tell this to Torontonians.

Rs. 250,000/year is nothing, go ahead for DBA, or apply for canada, you will find a job around $55,000/yr, provided that total taxes are 35% and above ( that I am paying).

denisvenis,
I will try to sum up some questions by evening. currently Iam @work.
