DB2 on SAP Netweaver 7.0

Hello,
I´m planning to install a SAP System on DB2 V.9.5 or 9.7 and for that I would like to know if there are any rules concerning the partitioning, for example 1 partition for db2dump, 1 partition for archive logs, 1 partition for the database directory and so on. As I´ve experienced it with Oracle there are often a lot of partitions for archive logs, redo logs, rdbms directory, sapdatas and so on.

Best regards,
docholiday

Check IBM Redbooks - there are a lot of materials about configuring and running SAP on DB2.

By the way "partitioning" usually refers to an entirely different concept from what you described - be it on Oracle or DB2.
