The only option I'm aware of is "not logged initially". With nonrecoverable load, the tablespaces associated with the target table are not put into the backup pending state - logging is minimal by default with load.

Thank you. As I mentioned earlier, these options have already been explored and are well understood. Looking for alternatives.

I don't believe what you're trying to do is possible.

In this case, define everything as LOB and not log it.

How does "no-op user exit" help to perform I/U/D without logging?

User exit helps to turn off archiving - not logging. Still working on the logging part ...

I must have misunderstood your original post where you listed three options used to turn off logging for the duration of UOW:
NOT LOGGED INITIALLY
LOAD NONRECOVERABLE
no-op user exit

Now, you're saying that the last option is used to turn off archiving... interesting It's time for beer or vodka with Lenny77

Log archiving is one aspect of logging. Sometimes it helps to turn it off to improve overall picture. Especially with SSA, may it burn in ...

As for L77, I don't think he drinks - too busy with sudoku and other useless stuff

Gotta go now - it's party time
