Move database and rename instance

Hi All,

I'm new here and I hope to be able to help people here so hello

I have installed db2 v9.5 and have created 1 instance with two databases but now I would like to move one of the databases to a new instance so they are independent.

Then I would like to rename the first instance to tidy things up.

Is this something that can be done and if so whats the best way ?

Current setup

Instance name = fred and database1 name = bob & database2 name = Jack

I would like to have

New setup
Instance1 name = fred with database1 name = bob
&
Instance2 name = jack with database2 name = Jack

Thank you for your help.
