.TRS files - read on LUW

I know this is a dummy question... but I'll try asking it anyway. Is there a way to read .TRS (tersed) files on Linux/Unix? Or the only way is to send it to z/OS? Untersed file is a dataset.

This dataset was created by sending a .zip file from LUW to z/OS. It's travelled a long way to get from LUW to LUW...
