DB2 licensing cost

Hi all,

Can anyone give me brief idea about DB2's licensing cost on a SUN Box running Solaris 2.8? If I want to set up 2 SUN Boxes and install DB2, will the cost remain the same (for HADR)?

Thanks a lot,
Dev

DB2 uses PVU (processer value unit) pricing that is based on the power of CPU.
IBM Processor Value Unit [PVU] licensing for Distributed Software

But on the DB2 standby server, you only need to pay DB2 license costs for 2 CPU cores or 100 PVU's (I am not sure which since I am only familiar with Linux boxes where 2 cores = 100 PVU's).

Here is a link that might help:
Licensing distributed DB2 9.5 servers in a high availability (HA) environment
