We are using Data Warehouse manager in DB2 v8.2 to populate a file with table data. We want the file to be in "fixed format". That is like SQL Server DTS fixed format. If the datatype has length 40 and the data is only of length20, then that field is populated with 20 spaces in the generated file. And it does not have any delimiter.

How to do this in Data Warehouse manager?

We tried it with RED brick DB2 SQL EXPORT task using Process Model in DB2 warehouse center. But we get an error. As such we have not defined any red brick tables. Our doubt is whether we need to configure any red brick database? If yes, do we need a separate software for installing the same?
