Question resetting user password?

hello experts,
Pls let me know how to reset a db2 user password. user does not exist in the os level so that i could've resetted its password at os level. Pls assist, i do not have the user password now and gottu reset it.

There are no "db2 users". All user authentication happens externally (at the OS level, in LDAP, etc.) If you don't have the user defined externally, you will not be able to connect to a DB2 database as that user.

To add to Nick: reset the password of the user defined on the OS-level. If you are using a different security plugin, it actually depends on the plugin.
