I am researching information on upgrading from our current version of DB2 8.1 to DB2 9.1. Are OS version is currently AIX 5.2 which I believe we will have to upgrade to 5.3. In researching information I have found that we also will need to have our Kernal type at 64 bit which ours is currently 32 bit to upgrade to DB2 9.1. Our production System Model is IBM,7028-6C4 and our Test System Model is IBM,7029-6C3. Am I reading this correctly. Thank you.

Thank you for the link. That is where I got the information that I was asking for confirmation. I guess I will have to look at the ramifications of upgrading to AIX5.3 and going from 32bit to 64bit so that I can upgrade to db29.1.

If we upgrade from AIX5.2 32 bit kernel to AIX5.3 64 bit kernal what will need to be done to DB2 and Websphere for them to work? Our current DB2 version on our test box is 8.2 and production is 8.1. Websphere is 6.1. Thank you.
