Fixpack Installation 9.5.5 in 9.1.3

I need to upgrade db2 v9.1 fixpack 3 to DB2 v9.5 fixpack 5 on our production database.

Will the database need migration ?

Any complications that may arise ??

Early reply is much appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, db needs to be migrated from v9.1 to v9.5.

Take an offline db backup in case something happens during db migration and you need to migrate it via a restore or go back to v9.1 version (you could use an online backup to go back to v9.1).

It's a good idea to migrate from the latest to the latest (ie. from v9.1 fp9 to the v9.5 fp5) in order to avoid hitting any known bug.

Bella,

Thanks,
I will have online backup and logs, I think I can rollback with it.

Also previous upgrads were smooth, I can't remember any issue.

Also I believe the database is migrated automatically, I hardly remember.

Regards
