if index usage is shown in explain output, does it mean that it actually used by a query? is there another way to check to make sure it is used. thanks

what happened with advanced options of the search on this forum? it used to have an database option where i could choose db2. now my searches give me results in all databases (sql, sybase, oracle) and i need only db2...
