Federated Access to Oracle-DB

Hi Guys,

is the only way to get federated access to an Oracle Database the Infosphere Federation Server? I read something about Websphere Federation Server?

I remember that Wrappers for other DB Products were included in the Enterprise Edition. But this could be wrong or Version 7 Knowledge.

All that comes with DB2 is federation to DB2. Informix may also be available, but I think you have to select it when you do an install. All other databases need a separate license for doing federation. IBM changes the name rather regularly. I think the Infosphere is the current one. Here is the licensing requirements:
